Equipo Navazos is a group of Spanish sherry lovers that hunts and bottles rare individual casks of Sherry. Nicolas Palazzi, with PM Spirits, does similar projects with spirits. On occasion, they partner under the Navazos Palazzi label.
This bottling is a brandy de Jerez aged in oloroso casks, then finished three years in very old Pedro Ximenez casks.
Notes: Nose is lean but complex - requires a bit of teasing out. Strawberry jam. Varnish. Damp vegetation. Mushrooms. Char. Toffee. Medium weight on the palate. Toffee. Wood. Strawberry. Coffee. Light and active mid-palate. Big raisin and sherry notes in the finish.

Score: 7 (Highly Recommend) Body can read a little light at points. Finish is short and sweet. Still, plenty of richness and complexity here.
