Notes: Mi Casa Blanco

Mi Casa Blanco NOM 1499 - 40%

Mi Casa uses their own estate grown agave from Michoacan, Mexico and boasts a high brix level (32%). The family is active in the contract distillation process at NOM 1499 and practices open air oxygenation to allow the spirit to settle and reduce ethanol influence.

Notes: Nose is bright and peppery - touch of rich butter and brine. Not much in the way of vegetal or fruit notes. Some baked sugars rounding things out. Rich, full, entry on the palate. Lots of lower, base notes - honey, sea salt, sweeter tropical fruits (there's the fruit). Structure shifts lighter on the back end for a short clean finish.

Score: 6 (Above Average) Not overly complex. Notes could use clarity/definition. Still, an extremely satisfying sip.
